Tim Roberts is a Senior Lecturer at Kent State University's School of Media and Journalism, part of the College of Communication & Information. He teaches courses in Public Relations, Media Law, and Ethics, and his office hours are 2-4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays in 301B Franklin Hall or virtually. He earned a B.A. in News-Editorial Journalism and an M.A. in Media Management, both from Kent State University.
Roberts previously worked as a public affairs manager at WCI Steel, Inc., and as a reporter for The Vindicator and The Tribune-Chronicle. He has held administrative roles including Undergraduate Coordinator for the School of Media and Journalism from 2015 to 2019 and Graduate Coordinator from 2013 to 2014. His professional affiliations include leadership in the Ohio Steel Council and the Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce.
His research interests focus on ethical issues in integrated communications, media law, and strategic public relations practices. He has developed courses such as Ethical Issues in Integrated Communications and advises the PRSSA Bateman Case Study Competition.
