Tim Kilner

Dr. Tim Kilner is a Principal Lecturer and Head of Department - Paramedic Science at the University of Wolverhampton, affiliated with the School of Allied Health and Midwifery under the Faculty of Education Health & Wellbeing. He is a Registered Paramedic and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, with prior experience as a Senior Lecturer at Coventry University, Research Fellow at Warwick Medical School, and Head of Learning and Development at ambulance services.

His work spans systematic reviews, clinical trials, and policy development for pre-hospital care, with a specific emphasis on aligning research questions to appropriate methodological frameworks.

• Member of the College of Paramedics

Advisory roles cover postgraduate research supervision (1 PhD completion), postgraduate dissertation supervision (MSc Physician Associate, MSc Advancing Practice), and external examination of paramedic PhDs. He has also provided expert witness evidence in clinical negligence cases (County Courts, High Court of Justice) and Coronial work.
