Tim Hujer

Tim Hujer is a Researcher at the Institute for Pedagogy within the Faculty of Philosophy at Chemnitz University of Technology. He works as a scientific assistant on the Professorship for General Educational Science under Prof. Dr. Ulrike Deppe, focusing on child and youth welfare with particular emphasis on educational support systems.

His research interests span several critical areas in contemporary educational science, including child and youth welfare, educational support systems, document analysis, education and social inequalities, school absenteeism, and sports and adventure education. His work particularly examines assistance planning according to §36 SGB VIII, which relates to child welfare services in Germany.

Hujer's recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on school education within child-rearing support contexts, with his 2024 award-winning presentation highlighting innovative approaches in this field. His research shows consistent attention to practical applications of educational theory in real-world settings, particularly in understanding and addressing school absenteeism through multifactorial frameworks.
