Tim Hubbard

Tim Hubbard is a Professor of Economics and Chair of the Department of Economics at Colby College, located in Waterville, Maine. He specializes in auction theory, structural econometrics, and policy analysis, with a focus on market design and environmental economics.

His research explores bidder behavior, auction mechanisms, and their policy implications, with notable work on electronic auctions and transboundary pollution. Hubbard organized conferences on auctions and policy, such as the 2023 Colby event. He teaches courses like Microeconomic Theory and a seminar on auctions.
