Tim Ebert

Dr. Tim Ebert serves as a Research Fellow and assistant physician at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Bonn. He maintains dual research affiliations with the Neurohomeostasis group led by Dr. Nils Gassen and the Department of Systems Immunology & Proteomics at the Institute of Innate Immunity under Prof. Felix Meissner.

Dr. Ebert's research investigates psychosocial stress effects on biological homeostasis, particularly autophagy disruption in stress-associated disorders like depression. His Neuro-aCSis fellowship work employs mass spectrometry to analyze stress-induced protein changes and signaling cascades, aiming to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets for mental illnesses.
