Dr. Tim Chang is a Professor in the Department of Global Studies at Liberty Theological Seminary, Liberty University. His work bridges faith, culture, and global engagement through academic leadership and cross-cultural ministry. Chang's educational foundation includes a Ph.D. from Fuller Graduate Schools, an M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, an M.A.B.S. from Dallas Theological Seminary, language studies at Yanbian University, Dongbae University, Sogang University, and Ehwa University, and a B.A. from Baylor University.
Research Focus: Chang's scholarship centers on intercultural dynamics in theological contexts, with emphases on:
- Cultural anthropology and global worker preparation
- Korean American identity and immigrant church development
- Cross-cultural ministry methodologies in marginalized communities
- Integration of family-centered approaches in global missions
Instructional Leadership: He teaches core courses including Cultural Anthropology, Intercultural Communication, History and Theory of Global Engagement, and Career Preparation for Global Workers, synthesizing academic rigor with practical ministry experience.
