Tim Busscher

Dr. Tim Busscher is an Assistant Professor of Infrastructure Planning at the Department of Planning, Faculty of Spatial Sciences, University of Groningen. His research focuses on infrastructure renewal, area-oriented planning, and institutional arrangements intersecting spatial and infrastructure planning. He coordinates collaborations with Rijkswaterstat on sustainable infrastructure planning and teaches courses on infrastructure planning, project management, and spatial theory. His work emphasizes boundary spanning, policy integration, and polycentric governance. He has received the 2017 'Responsive Infrastructure Through Responsive Institutions' award.
