Tim Bartley is a Professor at Georgetown University, holding dual appointments in Earth Commons and the Department of Sociology. His research focuses on sustainability standards, environmental justice, and transnational governance. He previously taught at Washington University in St. Louis and held visiting roles at institutions like the Max Planck Institute. Bartley's work examines global production networks, private regulation, and the interplay between corporate practices and state intervention.
