PD Dr. Till Markus, LL.M., is Deputy Head of the Department of Environmental and Planning Law at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig, Germany. He holds a PhD from Bremen University and completed his habilitation there (2014–2020). His academic career includes roles as a Post-Doc at MARUM (2008–2012) and as a PhD student at Bremen University. He serves as Co-Chief Editor of Zeitschrift für Umweltrecht and has led projects such as the Graduate School Global Change in the Marine Realm (GLOMAR) and the Graduate College INTERCOAST.
