About
Tiffany Taylor is Professor and Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Senior Research Fellow at University of Bath, investigating evolutionary drivers of gene regulatory networks through microbial experimental evolution.
Education includes PhD in Evolutionary Biology from University of Oxford (2011) and BSc (Hons) from University of Edinburgh (2008). Fellow of Higher Education Academy.
Research combines molecular biology and bioinformatics to study how environmental change shapes regulatory networks in bacteria and cancer evolution. Current projects examine bacterial genome defense systems and transcription factor rewiring. Funded by BBSRC and Royal Society, including fellowship renewal for genetic/environmental drivers of novel regulation (2023-2026).
Awards include Royal Society Senior Research Fellowship. Service includes Rosalind Franklin Award Committee (2018-2021). Science communicator with children's books on evolutionary biology.
