Tiff Akins is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP), serving since 2021. She also directs the School of Health Sciences and Wellness Health Scholars Program. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from UW-Madison (2013), an M.S. from the University of Arkansas Fayetteville (2007), and a B.S. in Biology from UW-Platteville (2005).
Her research focuses on socioeconomic factors impacting rural healthcare access and outcomes, emphasizing actionable solutions for providers and communities. A licensed athletic trainer since 2007, she combines clinical experience with academic leadership.
