Tiansheng Liu

Dr. Tiansheng Liu is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Ophthalmology, University College London (UCL), specializing in molecular biology and pharmacology. His research focuses on validating therapeutic targets like MarvelD3 and GEF-H1 inhibitors using genetic, pharmacological, and clinical approaches. He also applies data analysis tools such as Cellpose and MATLAB for cellular and tissue imaging analysis.

Education:

• BSc in Clinical Pharmacy (China), first in major (GPA)
• MSc in Drug Discovery and Development at UCL
• PhD in Molecular Neuroscience at UCL

Research interests include signal transduction, drug discovery, neurosciences, and ophthalmology. He has clinical experience from a hospital internship and has taught as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at UCL’s School of Pharmacy (2019–2023). He is fluent in English, Mandarin (peer review capable), and Cantonese. Collaborative interests align with Sustainable Development Goals like Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3) and Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9).
