Prof. Dr. Thorsten Reemtsma is a Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Leipzig and Head of the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig. His research focuses on developing analytical methods for environmental pollutants, trace analysis of organic compounds, and understanding chemical behavior in natural and engineered systems. He holds leadership roles in multiple EU and national projects, including Proxies of the Eco-exposome and SafePol.
