Prof. Dr. Thorsten Keiser is a Max Planck Fellow and Professor of Civil Law and Legal History at the Justus Liebig University of Giessen since 2016. His work focuses on European and comparative legal history, modernization of private law, and judicial conflict resolution. He has held acting professorships at the Universities of Freiburg, Jena, and Cologne, and was a DFG Research Fellow at the University of Frankfurt/Main.
