Dr. Thore Engel is a Researcher at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) Halle-Jena-Leipzig, holding a post-doctoral position since June 2022. His prior role (2017–2023) was as a Doctoral Researcher at MLU Halle-Wittenberg and iDiv. He earned a B.Sc. in Molecular Ecosystem Sciences (Göttingen University) and an M.Sc. in International Master in Applied Ecology from University of Poitiers, University of Coimbra, and Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.
His interdisciplinary research focuses on biodiversity change dynamics, quantitative methods, and participatory approaches.
