Thomas S. Richardson is a Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Washington. He holds adjunct appointments in the Departments of Economics and Electrical Engineering, and serves on the eScience Steering Committee. He earned his BA from the University of Oxford and MS/PhD from Carnegie Mellon University.
- Research Interests: Graphical Models, Causality, and their applications in statistics, machine learning, and biomedical domains.
- Key Contributions: Pioneering work on Single-World Intervention Graphs (SWIGs), nested Markov properties for acyclic directed mixed graphs, and causal inference with truncation by death.
