Thomas Provost

Thomas Provost is an Assistant Professor of Architecture and Community Development at the University of Detroit Mercy's School of Architecture. He founded the studio Water.etc, focusing on design prototypes, installations, and rehabilitations. His work examines Detroit River environmental justice and material culture narratives.

Teaching emphasizes socially conscious design principles through courses covering design studios, visual communications, and new cartographic methods. Research explores cooperative housing models and rehabilitation of urban spaces.
