Thomas Nowacki

Thomas Nowacki serves as Associate Professor and Division Chair of Life Sciences Illustration at the Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) with adjunct faculty appointment in Anatomy at Case Western Reserve University. He holds an MFA in Medical Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology and a BFA from Baldwin-Wallace College.

Professional Practice: As founder of Novie Studio, he produces scientifically accurate illustrations and 2D animations for medical, educational, and legal applications. His expertise covers anatomical visualization, surgical illustration, and biomedical communication.

Educational Leadership: Leads curriculum development for the Life Sciences Illustration program, teaching courses that integrate scientific knowledge with visual communication strategies. As Board Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI), he maintains rigorous standards in scientific accuracy and visual pedagogy.
