Thomas James Howard is an Associate Professor and Head of DTU X-Tech at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He serves as Head of Innovation at the Centre for Technology Entrepreneurship. His roles include running DTU's flagship incubator program and supervising PhD students in areas like startup governance and robust design. He holds a PhD and MEng from the University of Bath (2004–2008 and 2000–2004).
Research focuses on Startup Boards, Technology Entrepreneurship, and Robust Design. He leads industry collaborations, founded the Design Society’s Robust Design SIG, and advises on sustainable hard-tech startups.
