About
Dr. Thomas Hudson is Associate Professor specializing in micromechanics and applied mathematics at Warwick's Mathematics Institute. His research program bridges PDE analysis, calculus of variations, and materials science with focus on dislocation dynamics and multiscale modeling.
Current projects include mathematical modeling of Frank-Read dislocation sources and fractional drift-diffusion systems. Funded by Leverhulme Trust and FSMP, his work connects atomistic simulations with continuum mechanics frameworks. Dr. Hudson directs graduate studies for the HetSys Centre for Doctoral Training and contributes to departmental EDI initiatives.
