Thomas Hipper

Thomas Hipper is an Assistant Professor at the Dornsife School of Public Health, Drexel University, and Associate Director of the Center for Public Health Readiness and Communication. He focuses on developing effective messaging to address vaccine hesitancy and combat misinformation during public health emergencies like COVID-19, Zika, and the opioid epidemic.

• Education: BA from The College of New Jersey; MA in Health Communication from Pennsylvania State University; MSPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; currently pursuing a DrPH at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).

Research Interests: Thomas specializes in crisis and risk communication strategies, leveraging public health emergencies as contexts to study behavioral interventions. His work bridges health informatics, epidemiology, and health policy, emphasizing evidence-based messaging to improve public health outcomes.
