Thomas Gillespie

Thomas Gillespie is a Professor and Chair in Environmental Sciences at Emory University, where he directs research on disease ecology at the human-wildlife interface. His work examines how anthropogenic environmental changes influence pathogen emergence in tropical ecosystems.

Research integrates epidemiology, molecular ecology, and landscape analysis to study disease dynamics in wildlife populations, particularly primates.
