Thomas Gallagher

Dr. Thomas Gallagher is Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Loyola University Chicago's Stritch School of Medicine. His laboratory researches molecular virology mechanisms with dual focus: coronavirus entry/assembly and extracellular vesicle-mediated intercellular transfer. The Gallagher Lab investigates determinants of pneumovirulence in zoonotic pathogens using lung-derived cell models and collaborates on animal disease modeling.
