Dr. Thomas Evan Richardson is a Researcher at UNSW Canberra, specializing in Australian military history and counterinsurgency, particularly in Southeast Asia post-1945. He holds a BA (Hons) from Monash University (2009) and a PhD from UNSW Canberra (2014). His doctoral work focused on pacification in Phuoc Tuy Province during the Vietnam War. He has taught as a tutor and lecturer at UNSW Canberra (2015-2016) and contributed to projects on Australian peacekeeping and operations in East Timor, Iraq, and Afghanistan. His research interests include the intersection of Australian military history and counterinsurgency tactics.
