Thomas Ervin

Thomas Ervin is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Information Systems and Cybersecurity at the University of Texas at San Antonio's College of AI, Cyber and Computing. He holds an M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and Tuskegee University, respectively.

With over 25 years of experience in cyber forensics analysis for federal law enforcement, he has contributed to criminal and national security investigations, leading to numerous indictments and convictions. His expertise includes malware analysis, digital forensics training, and international delivery of cybersecurity education programs.

Professional affiliations include the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA) and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). He is a contributor to the Wiley Encyclopedia of Forensic Science and teaches courses in Digital Forensics and Malware Analysis.
