Dr. Thomas Eickermann is Deputy Director of the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) and Head of the Communication Systems and Services division at Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH. With a PhD in Physics from the University of Düsseldorf (1994), his career at JSC has spanned system administration, grid computing, networking, and IT security. He led PRACE preparatory and implementation phase projects (2008–2015) and served on the PRACE aisbl Board of Directors.
