Thomas D. Gilovich is the Irene Blecker Rosenfeld Professor of Psychology at Cornell University, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on social and personality psychology, particularly how people evaluate evidence, form beliefs, and make judgments in everyday life. He directs the Judgment and Belief Lab (JabLab), established in 1981, which investigates cognitive biases, decision-making processes, and the emotional dimensions of judgment.
He teaches courses such as PSYCH 2940 (Better Decisions for Life, Love, and Money) and advanced social psychology seminars. His work integrates insights from psychology, economics, and neuroscience to understand human behavior.
