Thomas Christopher Greene is a novelist and the founding president of Vermont College of Fine Arts (VCFA). He previously held leadership roles at Norwich University, served as an admissions and marketing professional, spokesperson for academic institutions, and professor of writing and literature. His academic contributions include directing a graduate program and authoring six acclaimed novels.
His novels—Mirror Lake (2003), I’ll Never Be Long Gone (2005), Envious Moon (2007), The Headmaster’s Wife (2014), If I Forget You (2016), and The Perfect Liar (2019)—have been translated into twelve languages and recognized with numerous awards.
In higher education governance, Greene served on the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE), chaired the Vermont Higher Education Council (VHEC), and was a commissioner on the New England Commission on Higher Education (NECHE). He continues to advocate for educational policy and institutional collaboration.
