Thomas Carr is Associate Professor of Mathematics and Associate Dean at Southern Methodist University's Dedman College. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Northwestern University (1993). His research applies dynamical systems theory, bifurcation analysis, and perturbation methods to differential equations modeling lasers, epidemiology, and coupled oscillators.
