Thomas Brunner is a Full Professor (W3) and Chair in Biochemical Pharmacology at the Department of Biology, University of Konstanz, Germany, since 2010. He also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors at the Biotechnology Institute Thurgau, Kreuzlingen, Switzerland, since 2022.
His research focuses on immunology, cell death, and inflammation, with expertise in nuclear receptors, TNF family, BCL-2 family, and glucocorticoids. He has held leadership roles in collaborative research centers, including spokesperson for DFG-funded TRR 353 'Death Decisions' (since 2020) and the FOR2036 Research Group (2011-2020).
