Thomas Barnes

Thomas Barnes is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo, affiliated with the Section for Geography and Hydrology (GeoHyd) within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. His research focuses on glacial geomorphology, sub-/supraglacial hydrology, GIS, and remote sensing. Barnes holds a BSc in Geography from Lancaster University (2017–2019), an MSc (by research) in Environmental Science from Lancaster University (2019–2020), and is currently pursuing a PhD in subglacial geomorphology and hydrology (2021–present), supervised by Dr. KS Lilleøren and Prof. TV Schuler. Barnes is part of the Cryosphere and Geomorphology and Geohazards research groups.

Research Interests:
