Thomas BENATOUIL

Thomas Bénatouïl is a Professor of Ancient Philosophy at the University of Lille's Faculty of Humanities (Department of Philosophy), affiliated with the UMR STL laboratory. His research focuses on Stoicism, Plato's Theaetetus, the history of the Academy (Plato to Cicero), and ancient astronomy. He holds leadership roles including Director of UMR STL (2025–present), former Head of the Philosophy Department (2016–2018), and co-director of the journal Philosophie antique (2015–2024).
