Professor Thomas A. Fudge is a leading scholar of Medieval and Reformation History at the University of New England (UNE), where he holds a professorial chair in the Faculty of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Education. He specializes in the history of Christianity, particularly in the medieval and Reformation periods, focusing on heresy, crusades, witch-hunting, and Hussite movements. His research spans European and American religious history, including studies on Pentecostalism and Australian Anglicanism.
Dr. Fudge has authored over 30 books and numerous articles, including seminal works on Jan Hus and the Hussite Reformation. He has held ten contestable research grants and serves on editorial boards for journals like Mediaevistik and Kosmas. He currently chairs the UNE Professoriate and is a member of the Australian Association of University Professors.
