Thierry Mach is a Clinical Professor at the Primary Care Medicine Department of the University of Geneva. After completing medical studies at the University of Lausanne, he underwent 5 years of postgraduate training in hospital internal medicine, including 2.5 years at the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève (HUG). He joined the University of Geneva in 2012 and has held key organizational roles since 2017, overseeing postgraduate training resources for over 60 internists.
In 2021, he initiated a study on workplace well-being for internists, which became the focus of his medical thesis and a long-term monitoring system. Concurrently, he pursued training in medical pedagogy, earning a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) as a health sciences trainer from the University of Geneva. Since 2023, he has coordinated the AMC (Apprentissage en Milieu Clinique) internship for master's-level medical students in community and primary care medicine.
