Theres Waeckerlin

Theres Waeckerlin is a Lecturer in Art at the Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art (HSLU). She studied at the former School for Design in Zurich. Collaborating with Agatha Zobrist as Zobrist/Waeckerlin since 1992, their artistic practice focuses on site-specific installations, sculptures, performances, and revealing spatial structures and histories. Their works are exhibited internationally, with residencies in Vilnius, Paris, Kairo, and Berlin. They have received various awards and grants and are founding members of the artist group 'mit'. Waeckerlin has been a lecturer since 2002, contributing to the development of the BA Art & Mediation program, and actively participates in academic committees and juries.

Key collaborations and projects include international symposia in Lithuania, Estonia, Czech Republic, and Romania. Their works feature in public collections and as permanent 'Kunst am Bau' installations. She balances artistic production with academic roles, advocating for contextual and spatial engagement in art.
