Dr. Theodore 'Ted' Richardson III is the Dean and Professor of the Nathan M. Bisk College of Business at Florida Institute of Technology. He oversees undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs across main campus, Education Centers, and online platforms, managing over 2,639 students and 34 full-time faculty. Previously, he served as Associate Dean of External Affairs at St. John Fisher College, where he contributed to AACSB accreditation and revenue-generating initiatives. With a career spanning academia and industry, he held senior roles at Xerox Corporation, managing a $2.3B business unit and receiving the President’s Award.
Education: B.S. Mechanical Engineering (University of Pittsburgh, 1972), MBA (Rochester Institute of Technology, 1999), Ed.D. Higher Education Management (University of Pennsylvania, 2006).
His research focuses on competitive strategy in higher education and business ethics. He has served on Middle States Accreditation committees, co-chaired the Rochester Business Ethics Awards, and advised five DBA students. Awards include Xerox’s President’s Award for contributions to Software Customer Support innovation.
Leadership roles include Board membership at Hillside Children’s Center and the Rochester Area Hospital Consortium. At Florida Tech, he chairs university-wide committees and oversees key centers like the Center for Ethics and Leadership.
