Theodore Nowicki is an Assistant Professor-in-residence in the Departments of Pediatrics and Molecular, Immunology, and Microbial Pathogenesis (MIMG) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is affiliated with the David Geffen School of Medicine and contributes to pediatric oncology and immunotherapy research.
His research focuses on immunotherapeutic strategies, including adoptive T-cell therapies, CAR T-cell therapy, and checkpoint inhibitors. He explores mechanisms of resistance, neurotoxicity in cancer treatments, and biomarkers for clinical response. His work integrates molecular profiling, spatial imaging, and clinical trial data to advance precision oncology.
Dr. Nowicki’s publications highlight contributions to understanding the role of hypophosphatemia in CAR-T neurotoxicity, the efficacy of Selpercatinib in pediatric thyroid carcinoma, and the metabolic impacts of obesity in melanoma. He collaborates with institutions like the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy and the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center.
