Theodore Bergsma

Theodore Bergsma is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Philosophy at Pennsylvania State University, located at 228 Sparks Building, University Park, PA. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from Penn State (2020), an MA from Miami University (2015), and a BA from Grinnell College (2013). His research focuses on 20th-century continental philosophy (French philosophy, phenomenology, psychoanalysis), 19th-century thinkers like Nietzsche and Bergson, and broader areas including ethics, aesthetics, and ancient philosophy. He teaches courses ranging from introductory topics like ethics and art philosophy to specialized subjects like ethical leadership and 20th-century philosophy.
