Thao Dang

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thao Dang serves as Professor at the Faculty of Information Technology, Esslingen University of Applied Sciences since 2018. His research spans Autonomous Systems, Signal Processing, Motion Planning, Robotics, Machine Vision, and Autonomous Driving. Prior to academia, he spent 11 years at Daimler AG in research and advanced development, contributing to landmark projects including the first autonomous long-distance drive from Mannheim to Pforzheim, alongside work in decision-making, path planning, situation analysis, and system integration for self-driving vehicles.
