Thanos Halazonetis is a Professor at the Department of Molecular Biology, University of Geneva, since 2006. He previously served as Director of the same department (2009-2017) and held academic positions at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, including Professor (2005-2006), Associate Professor (2000-2004), and Assistant Professor (1993-1999). His research focuses on DNA replication, genomic instability, and mechanisms underlying cancer, particularly involving the tumor suppressor p53.
