Thamyris Almeida is a Brazilian historian of Latin America currently serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Fellow at Swarthmore College's Program of Latin America and Latino Studies. She previously held teaching roles at Dartmouth College, Wheaton College, and Kenyon College, focusing on Latin American history, Brazilian cinema, and transnational media studies.
