Teruo Ono is a full Professor in the Department of Physics, Graduate School of Engineering at Kyoto University, Japan. He has held faculty positions at Keio University and Osaka University before returning to Kyoto University in 2004.

His research spans magnetism, spintronics, and nanoscale magnetic materials, with particular emphasis on metallic multilayers and their application in advanced spintronic devices. His work is frequently presented at international magnetism conferences and published in leading journals.
Active in the global magnetics community, Professor Ono served as co-chair of the 8th International Symposium on Metallic Multilayers (MML) in 2013 and sits on program committees for numerous magnetism and spintronics conferences. He is a member of the IEEE Magnetics Society and serves as an editor for the Japanese Journal of Applied Physics.
With more than 280 peer-reviewed publications and over 90 invited conference presentations, his scholarly output reflects sustained leadership in experimental condensed-matter physics and materials science.
