Terry McGovern

Terry McGovern, DBA, DM, is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He holds doctorates in Business Administration from the University of South Florida (2019) and Management from the University of Phoenix (2008), along with a Master of Science in Health from Providence University, an MBA from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa. His teaching spans multiple institutions, including the University of Iowa, Air Force Academy, National Defense University, Clarke University, and his current role at UW-Parkside.

Dr. McGovern specializes in professional development, strategy, leadership, and human capital. His courses cover Operations Management, Professional Ethics, Strategic Planning, Organizational Behavior, Global Business, and leadership development in hybrid, in-person, and online formats.

With 20 years of U.S. Air Force service, he specialized in nuclear missile operations, satellite operations, and personnel roles, including speechwriting, teaching, and leading a Pentagon-based research cell. His work bridges military, academic, and corporate leadership contexts.
