Terrill Bravender Jr., MD, MPH holds multiple leadership positions at the University of Michigan including the David S Rosen MD Collegiate Professor of Adolescent Medicine, Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry, Division Director of Adolescent Medicine, Executive Director of the Comprehensive Eating Disorders Program, and Co-Medical Director of the University of Michigan Adolescent Health Initiative. He also serves as Associate Chair for Faculty Affairs in the Department of Pediatrics.

His work integrates clinical innovation with health services research to improve adolescent health outcomes.
His extensive publication record demonstrates consistent focus on eating disorders, adolescent mental health, and healthcare equity. Recent work explores pandemic impacts on eating disorder admissions, virtual treatment efficacy, nutrition interventions, reproductive healthcare for adolescents with chronic conditions, and systemic analyses of compensation equity in academic medicine.
Major honors include the endowed David S Rosen MD Collegiate Professorship. He maintains active involvement in professional societies including the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, Society for Pediatric Research, and American Board of Pediatrics.
Current grant funding supports initiatives to enhance healthcare access for Medicaid-receiving adolescents and develop youth-adult collaborative learning models. As Associate Chair for Faculty Affairs, he oversees faculty development programs and advancement processes within the Department of Pediatrics.
