Terri Bright

Terri Bright is a Professor of Art at Furman University, specializing in fine art photography that explores non-traditional beauty through contemplative imagery. She teaches courses such as Darkroom/Analog Photography, Color & Digital Printing, and oversees the photography curriculum in the Art Department. Her work bridges painting and photography, creating meditative narratives from everyday spaces.

Research & Artistic Focus: Bright’s practice emphasizes quiet, lyrical compositions that transform inorganic forms into graceful narratives. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including in the U.S., Japan, and through Furman’s Study Away programs in Southern Africa and the British Isles.
