Terence Nance is a visiting faculty member for the MFA in Film Program at Vermont College of Fine Arts (VCFA). Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, he is an artist known for his work in film, installation, performance, and music under the name Terence Etc. He resides in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, and is currently developing his next feature film.

Nance’s creative practice spans independent filmmaking, experimental performance art, and multimedia collaborations. His films SWIMMING IN YOUR SKIN AGAIN and UNIVITILLEN premiered at the 2016 Sundance and New York Film Festivals, respectively. He has also directed music videos for artists like Nick Hakim, Cody ChesnuTT, and Pharoahe Monch.

As a visiting faculty member at VCFA, Nance teaches in the low-residency MFA in Film Program, contributing his expertise in independent cinema and interdisciplinary art forms.
