About
Dr Teng Zhang is a Lecturer in Automotive Engineering at the University of Surrey's School of Mechanical Engineering Sciences. He holds a PhD from the National University of Singapore (2014) and a BEng in Engineering Science (2010), also from NUS. Prior to Surrey, he worked at Imperial College London as a Research Associate on lithium-sulfur batteries for automotive applications. His research focuses on multiscale modeling of energy storage systems, particularly lithium-sulfur and solid-state batteries, alongside novel thermal management strategies. He leads projects like the 'Lithium-Sulfur Technology Accelerator (LiSTAR)' and contributed to UK/EU initiatives such as the REVB and ECLIPSE battery projects.
