Ted Genoways is the President’s Professor in the Department of Media Studies at the University of Tulsa’s Kendall College of Arts & Sciences. He is a renowned author, journalist, and editor, specializing in investigative reporting, food industry studies, and historical biography. His work bridges literary excellence with deep research, earning him accolades such as the James Beard Award and Guggenheim Fellowship.
Genoways holds a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa and an MFA from the University of Virginia. He edits Switchyard, a literary magazine at TU, and has served as editor of The Virginia Quarterly Review. His research focuses on Mexican history, American print culture, and food systems, reflected in best-selling books like Tequila Wars and This Blessed Earth.
