Taylor Andrews

Research & Interests:

Focuses on audio engineering, home recording studio design, MIDI systems, electric vehicle engineering, solar energy systems, cybersecurity in energy delivery, and psychoacoustics. Their WPI MQP involved developing a modern technology prototype for Microsoft, while their IQP explored large-scale psychoacoustic stimulation through music devices.

Teaching:

Began with IT support for family/friends, then assisted in WPI’s undergraduate CS courses. Taught robotics, embedded systems, and programming at Harvard’s Digital Media Academy summer camps, guiding students in projects like Arduino-based hardware games, Raspberry Pi circuits, and LEGO robotics competitions. Collaborated with MIT’s EECS and Music departments to design music programming labs.

Industry Experience:

Systems software engineering at VMware (hypervisor technology) and Stratus Technologies (fault-tolerant server drivers/debugging tools).
