Tatakis Christos

Christos Tatakis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, University of Western Macedonia, Greece. He holds a PhD in Pure Mathematics from the University of Ioannina (2011), supervised by Apostolos Thoma. His research focuses on Algebraic Combinatorics, particularly polynomial ideals, graph theory, and their interactions. He has given invited talks at institutions like Sorbonne Université, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the University of La Laguna (Tenerife), and has participated in conferences such as ACA 2025 and the Greek Algebra and Number Theory Conference. His work explores toric ideals of graphs, Grobner bases, and Markov complexity, with collaborations on structural properties of graphs and algebraic invariants.

Research Interests: Algebraic Combinatorics, Graph Theory, Commutative Algebra, Toric Ideals, Grobner Bases, and their applications. Recent talks include studies on complete intersection graphs, robust toric ideals, and Markov complexity of book graphs.
